Your Instructor: Jeff Bowders

Jeff Bowders is a touring and recording drummer known for his work with an incredible range of artists, including Paul Gilbert, Shakira, Joe Satriani, Puddle of Mudd, Richie Kotzen, Scott Ian, Warren DeMartini, Kiko Loureiro, and many more. He’s also contributed to sessions for NBC’s The Voice and his playing has been featured across major networks including CBS, MTV, VH-1, Nickelodeon, and the Discovery Channel.

As an educator, Jeff has been an award-winning instructor at Musicians Institute (MI) in Hollywood, CA since 2003. He’s the author of three acclaimed books for Hal Leonard Publishing — Essential Rock Drumming Concepts, Essential Drumset Fills, and Essential Double Bass Drumming Techniques — all of which include accompanying audio or video. He also wrote the core “Drum Technique 1 & 2” curriculum at MI, and has presented clinics and performed at major drum festivals worldwide.

As a solo artist, Jeff has released two instrumental albums: Mission and The Pilgrimage of Thingamuhjig.
